Red Marley to-do list

Trimmed the throttle bar down

Fuel tap

New bars.  The previous ones I had made were too narrow for serious off-roading.  Or my shoulders are too weak?  Plus they already snapped once and I was getting a bit nervous about the jump at the top of Red Marley.  These ones will work much better.

New pegs.  The Anderson's had a great cruising position but I couldn't put enough weight down on the back wheel so I moved it all back.  The WR pegs are a bit wider as well.  Spent all afternoon fine tuning the riding position and now it fits like an ex-girlfriend.

The Birth

The Magura throttle is a pull throttle so we made a little lever arm to flip reverse it.  Although the arm isn't really that little at the moment.  But the different holes will allow a choice of throttle response and then it can be cut down.

 That'll do, pig.

 Poor man's generator

Decided to see if the thing might fire.  Tony wasn't there so I was kinda bricking it.

I actually forgot to prime it but on the third kick there was a splutter from the engine

4th kick

Guess who taught himself to weld?  Kids, set your flame right, not too much oxygen and don't destroy it with an angle grinder when you can use a file.

Fifth kick muddafucka!

Behind Bars

Take I
Didn't last long.

Take II
Cut down some 7/8" Apes.
Looked good on paper but too big for the tight front-end.

Take III
Minimised some 7/8" Triumph bars.
Swedish quick action throttle and Magura lever.  Trials grips.
Got that speedway look.

Third time lucky.

It's very important...

a)    to get your bars tuned for the right riding position and an even weight distribution

b)    to use fashionable metalflake Super Sixties grips (preferably one gold one silver)
